Yes. You can use "Nikkei 225" or "Nikkei Stock Average" as part of the name of a financial product, but only "Nikkei" cannot be used.

Nikkei does not permit a third party to create a new index using the Nikkei Stock Average. However, a license may be granted to a financial product which is based on the investment strategy where the Nikkei Stock Average is involved. Please inquire details.

After signing a contract, you will be provided with a unique ID and password to log in to the website and start using the service. (An e-mail address will also be registered at the time of contract so that you can receive the latest information by email when you start using the service.)

This is a service that can be accessed by individuals who have registered to obtain the index data manually through the designated website. If you would like to obtain the data automatically, Nikkei could provide another service. Please contact us with your intention from here.
